Shopping is not the only thing you can do in Singapore... Try a temple instead. The Siong Lim Temple was built in 1908. The smell was impressive: incenses fill the room with smoke.

The Chinese rock garden is in the monastry next to the temple. I monk gave me a nice bookmark as a souvenir. Yippeh - we got something for free from a smiling person without second thoughts. Wow, makes you feel good!
(After visiting the temple, we went for a nice Long Island Ice Tea and then to the airport to catch our flight to Brisbane, Australia.)
