In Sydney, I visited Macquarie University. We stayed near their campus -- see above.

Sydney girl Nicole Kidman showed up for a screening of her new movie 'Cold Mountain'. She's pretty tall and hard to oversee... Her fans were fighting hard to get a glimpse, though.

We had dinner in Manly, a cool place at a beach right out of town. This is 'Ash's Table'...

and the guy on the left is Stacey, who runs the restaurant and invited us for dinner!

We had a nice beer down by the opera.

The harbour bridge -- apart from the Opera House, the most prominent building in Sydney. Built in 1932.

We got a car to get back to the Gold Coast. This is in Hunter Valley at a place called Cessnock.

A little later in Cessnock - garden decoration for Christmas. (While I was taking these pictures around 8.30, all the restaurants started to close down their kitchens and the only food we could get that night was pub grub at an Irish pub.)

This is Old Bar Beach - nobody knows about this place, I guess. The Chinese pub grub wasn't as lovely as the beach turned out to be.

This is near Byron Bay - cool place just 50km off Burleigh Heads...
